Good news! The PV for "NH" is all finished!
Good news! Remo got some mixing headphones soon to arrive!
Good news! We decided not to buy Luka V4X!

Bad news, Riido decided to change the .vsq a bit.
Bad news, Remo's headphones take a week or so to arrive and another week to "break in."
Bad news, Remo decided to retune and remix the entire song.

We're still working on getting back into the groove of things, but for the most part we're slowly clicking back together.

【EP1 release】 LIGHT&BITTER - We Are

We are proud to finally release our first EP, We Are!!
This is the compilation of Lizts's and Riido's previously released originals / in-progress originals before the formation of LIGHT&BITTER, revamped and refurbished.
It includes a short introduction manga regarding who we are, we hope you enjoy reading it as much as Remo enjoyed drawing it.

This also marks our debut into Vocallective, a VOCALOID and UTAU music label. We are honoured to have been accepted, thank you very much.

6/7+ News

First off, a formal apology for the lack of news updates!

Currently, we've experienced a series of unfortunate events, including:
- Lizts on indefinite hiatus [due to work]
- Busier schedule for Remo + Riido
- Lack of professional mixer

Due to the latter, La Partida; Calma was unable to receive a more official mix and will be released as-heard on the YT video.

Our first EP will be released on Friday, July 12th!!
It is a free album to celebrate the start and progress of L&B, and we are very excited to share with you a short 3-pg manga depicting ourselves.
It consists of our 3 released songs and lyrics.
We're very happy to finally release ittttt

Finally, and sadly,
LIGHT&BITTER will go on hiatus for ~3 months.
This is to further organize and plan around Lizts's absence, as well as to develop our mixing skills and for the remaining Riido and Remo to familiarize with each other's style.
Of course, we are also managing real-life events, we apologize for the inconvenience.

We'll try to update the blog with tidbits and news into our "training camp" hiatus.
Currently, we are scheduled to queue songs and even make a game depending on how things go.
Stay tuned and pressure us every now and then☆

May news

Sorry sorry for the late post. We ran into unfortunate circumstances and a work schedule for one member, but now we're easing back into making songs. Also schedule is looking busy for most of us, so our rate of work is predicted to be slower.

2. La Partida; Calma - Riido's song for the MAIKA contest! Azureflux of Vocallective and VO.net offered us a spot on his MAIKA-exclusive CD! We will have the finished mp3 very soon, and with it, the release of our EP.
3. Trailer video - It seems god-forbid June is maybe this video's release date...
   

PLANNING:

1. Artbook - Ideas are slowly starting to crank for this project. Remo is planning for a late-year release around December or so, but it's a temporary placeholder. If you have any particular artworks you'd like to see regarding LIGHT&BITTER, please email Remo.

April News

We will start up a monthly news update to keep everyone notified on what's going on with LIGHT&BITTER, what things to expect / look forward to.
We'll post quick blurbs in the Discussion section of our YT channel, but the blog will go in-depth and even sneak some previews in, who knows.
Otherwise, we've set up a rough schedule of 1 song release per month, hence 2 albums per year if things go well.
We will try our best to be diligent☆

UPCOMING:

1. Our first EP is well under way! This is the promised free album we've been talking about ever since our debut. It will feature "Tuesday Love Blues," "My Sadako Girl," and "La Partida; Calma." Currently, we are roughly 70% completed and tanking throughhhh
   
2. "La Partida; Calma" - this is Riido's first song with LIGHT&BITTER, as well as our entry for the MAIKA contest. If Remo's word means anything, it's utterly amazing☆ An unused scene for the PV has been posted, which you can view here.
   We will definitely upload this before May.
   
3. Trailer video - A basic outline has already been drafted. Ideally, this will be released in early May, but realistically closer to mid- / late- May [or god forbid, June].
   
4. Tumblr - Having another outlet with the VOCALOID community! This opening hasn't started yet, but after our EP release we will get to it as soon as we can.

PLANNING:

1. Covers - we are thinking of making covers with our own take on the instrumentals. This idea is still in its infancy, currently we haven't really given it serious thought. If this plan does follow through, Riido will provide vocals or another VOCALOID will be singing. The schedule will go around 2 weeks per cover, depending on circumstances during the time.
   
2. Artbook - This is more of a solo project by Remo than a group project, but the digital-only artbook will contain full versions of PV scenes [if any are unposted by L&B blog or Remo's personal blog], sketches / concepts, and any unreleased art relating to L&B. Since Remo essentially uploads 90% - 98% of artworks, this will most likely be a very slow project to accumulate... unless suggestions are given regarding what the community would like to see in this potential artbook.

New Member

I am pleased to introduce a new member into LIGHT&BITTER, Riidoriido-P!

He will serve as composer and expand our genre of music.
Our first formal album will include songs from both composers, please look forward to it!

We are both extremely excited to debut as LIGHT&BITTER to bring more VOCALOID originals to the world.
This blog will serve as a home page to our works and profiles, as well as the crux of our updates.

The blog will be organized into Music [composed by Lizts], Lyrics [co-written by Lizts and Remo], Art [by Remo], and Updates.
